End of the Week Review: Nine

End of the Week Review:

It’s the first week of December! Woohoo, that means cold weather right? Wrong. Branson is hot, but I must say I enjoyed this week. Tuesday, Kyle Unruh talked to us about greatness. He said, “Where this is great risk, there is great reward.” We read in Matthew 1 where Simon Peter and Andrew were out fishing when Jesus asked them to follow Him. There was great risk in dropping their jobs and everything normal to them and follow Him diligently every day. We do not realize how “risky” this was for them. We learned that in the Jewish faith that starting at the young age the boys followed the Rabi all the time and learned their every move. At a certain point, the boys get chosen and some get rejected. We learned that Peter and Andrew were obviously rejected because they had jobs and were not following the Rabi. They were rejected by the Rabi, but accepted by Christ. This is how many of us are. We feel rejected by the world, but we will always be accepted by the Lord. Such an awesome lesson to learn! Wednesday, Antwan Mack came and spoke to us. He taught us a bunch of different things but the main idea was time perspective and different traits they portray. The last day, Thursday, Mayor Presley, the mayor of Branson came and spoke to us. She taught us that you do not have to be in ministry to show Christ in your profession. It was really encouraging to know that. This afternoon we took a personality test and I have the personality of a lion and a golden retriever. It was fun to learn everyone else’s personality and see how different people interact. Overall, I really enjoyed this week! Oh besides the fact that I tried to give blood and it was an epic fail! I did not get to go to the Fort or family dinners do to this!

Family Dinner: Martin’s
The Fort: Adam Donyes
